GILDANET developed document exchange platform prototypes to support the essential business processes within multimodal transport chains. A guiding principle of GILDANET was the utilization of existing components, the adoption of international standard recommendations (UN/CEFACT) and the involvement government agencies and businesses of the transport community.

The project delivered advanced prototypes and live demonstrators running along long distance, multimodal transport chains:

  • Empty container movements in the Port of Ravenna in cooperation with CONTSHIP Italia
  • Transport of perishable goods using cold chains with SPAR and EXEL
  • Automotive supply chain: imports of Subaru cars via Livorno to the Austrian market in coopeation with LAGERMAX.

PARADIGMA was instrumental in the analysis and design phase and delivered the requirements, the process descriptions and business documents relevant to the investigated transport chains in compliance with international standards.
